MockHero generates realistic, schema-aware synthetic test data via API. Define any database schema — tables, columns, relationships — and get back fake but realistic rows.
## What you can generate
Names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, products, transactions, invoices, blog posts, and 50+ field types.
## Key features

The Generate Test Data endpoint returns synthetic data based on a defined schema. The response includes realistic rows of data, such as user information with fields like id, name, email, and timestamps, tailored to your specifications.
Users can customize their requests by defining tables, columns, row counts, and relationships in the schema. This allows for tailored data generation that meets specific project requirements.
The returned data is structured in JSON format, organized by the defined schema. Each key corresponds to a table, and the values are arrays of objects representing individual rows, containing relevant fields.
The List Field Types endpoint provides a comprehensive list of over 50 field types available for data generation, including uuid, email, phone, address, and price, enabling users to select appropriate types for their schema.
The response from the List Templates endpoint is organized as an array of pre-built schema templates. Each template corresponds to a common use case, such as e-commerce or CRM, allowing users to quickly access relevant structures.
In the Generate Test Data response, fields like "id" represent unique identifiers, "name" contains user names, "email" holds email addresses, and "created_at" indicates the timestamp of data creation, providing context for each entry.
Data accuracy is maintained through schema-aware generation, ensuring that relationships and field types are respected. The API uses deterministic seeds for reproducibility, allowing consistent data generation across requests.
Typical use cases include seeding development and staging databases, populating CI/CD test fixtures, load testing with realistic data, creating demo environments, and conducting QA testing to ensure application robustness.
To obtain your API key, you first need to sign in to your account and subscribe to the API you want to use. Once subscribed, go to your Profile, open the Subscription section, and select the specific API. Your API key will be available there and can be used to authenticate your requests.
You can’t switch APIs during the free trial. If you subscribe to a different API, your trial will end and the new subscription will start as a paid plan.
If you don’t cancel before the 7th day, your free trial will end automatically and your subscription will switch to a paid plan under the same plan you originally subscribed to, meaning you will be charged and gain access to the API calls included in that plan.
The free trial ends when you reach 50 API requests or after 7 days, whichever comes first.
No, the free trial is available only once, so we recommend using it on the API that interests you the most. Most of our APIs offer a free trial, but some may not include this option.
Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial that allows you to make up to 50 API calls at no cost, so you can test our APIs without any commitment.
